No, you do not need a service contract to purchase COD (Cash On Delivery) fuel but the choice is yours. Most COD customers either utilize the company’s in-house service department or partner with a trusted local provider for maintenance needs.
Some homeowners prefer the peace of mind and inclusive coverage of a service contract, while others opt to pay for service only as needed, just like their oil deliveries. Either way, you have control over how you manage both fuel and service. Should you need heating or cooling assistance, please contact Donlon Brothers at 631-599-2990.

You should have your heating system tuned up once a year by a qualified professional, ideally before the start of the heating season. A properly serviced oil burner runs more efficiently, often saving enough in fuel costs over the winter to cover the cost of the tune-up itself. Annual maintenance typically includes cleaning the burner, replacing filters and nozzles, adjusting the fuel-air mixture, and checking for worn or damaged parts. This not only improves performance and reduces fuel consumption but also helps prevent untimely breakdowns, extends the life of your system, and ensures safe, reliable operation throughout the cold months.
